What Makes a Product Organic?

Simply stated, organic produce and other ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation.  (This definition comes from Organic.org.)

We handcraft everything here in our shop in Northern, California. All of our products come from our garden and we work hard to return all of the waste products back to our garden or to our compost pile.

Thankfully, because we live in an area with a fantastic climate, we can keep our garden going all year long. This photo was taken before we started creating a batch of our sage wands. We were drying herbs for sage wand wrapping. We also gathered peppermint for healing, lavender for calmness, rosemary for protection and rose for love!

It’s important to us and to our core values to know where our ingredients come from and to have quality control over the freshness the batches of all of our products. (We only want to ship you fresh products where the active ingredients are still, well, active! We want them to be the best they can be.

You might love this article from Sunset Magazine about the Best Varieties of Roses….some of which we grow ourselves for our organic products.

We handcraft all of our products with love and in the traditions of the indigenous people who lived and worked here in Northern California.

Have any feedback for us or product ideas? We would love to hear from you.
